Storytime With Bas Rutten: "We are the champions"

FIGHT! Magazine did a candid interview with Bas Rutten, highlighting his childhood rise through martial arts.  Like any good Bas Rutten clip, he breaks out a storytime fit for a children’s special.

Not only did Bas grow up as a sick child in Holland who got picked on by bullies, but he also became the “Tarzan Gump” of his town.  If he ever was chased through the forest (apparently that’s where the Dutch go to street fight), he would simply swing from the trees.

He took on Taekwondo at an early age, which led him to being the baddest dude in every bar.  We all know how the rest of the story turned out, so just enjoy the awesome clip.
